Inside & Around Crammed with Marc Hollander + Julien Gasc (Aquaserge)

Our guest for this 5th episode is Julien Gasc from Aquaserge (who will be releasing their first-ever live album later in April). Julien is playing records from his collection, as well as an excerpt from “Déjà-vous?”, the aforementioned live LP. The show’s first hour is devoted to a Spoken Word Mix by Marc Hollander, who dug out tracks from the label’s catalogue which include a high proportion of… well, spoken word! Featuring Dagmar Krause on an abstract hip hop tip, Brion Gysin, Rachid Taha & Acid Arab, Tuxedomoon doing Abe Kobo, Gérard Depardieu jamming with Bill Laswell on Rimbaud, a rare track by Karen Finley with Bony Bikaye, Amatorski’s Inne Eysermans collaboration with writer Saskia De Coster, Sonoko’s rendition of Shakespeare’s balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet, and more.

A monthly two-hour show hosted by Marc Hollander (Aksak Maboul), the legendary founder of iconic Belgian label Crammed Discs. Digging deep into the label's prolific catalogue, and featuring unearthed gems alongside unreleased tracks, original interludes and new & upcoming music.
